We are heartbroken to lose Mat, taken far too young and with so much left that he wanted to achieve and experience in life. He fought his illness with courage, dignity and good humour, never giving up and not letting us give up hope either.

The messages, cards, tributes and flowers we have received from relatives, friends, and colleagues past and present have shown us how much he was respected and loved and have given us comfort and made us smile.

We hope you will celebrate Mat with some music, by raising a glass and by remembering a warm, confident, caring man with a big personality who lived life to the full.
